I've been a fan of Maryna's professional writing for several years now, and have now discovered her story telling. In, "Can You Hear the Earth Sing," I feel transported to Mexico and am a bystander overhearing a conversation between a young girl and a wise elder. I can feel each metaphor unfold, line by line, as if I were standing there enjoying nature.

Connecting to nature is a vital part of the human experience that we tend to get away from, much to our detriment. Maryna is a born educator and truly practices what she preaches by connecting to nature every day, and helping others to enjoy nature as well. I know her story telling will continue to honor that work by extending to children as well.
