Maryna's touching words will draw you and your children into the world of nature. When I read Can you Hear...I was immediately transported into the past, and hours spent in the woods listening and creating my own mysterious childhood world.

As a retired educator and life long advocate of the POWER of reading, I applaud the use of the World Wide Web as a tool to entice and encourage our youth to read and to expose them to the WONDERS of the world in which they live.

“Can you Hear the Earth Sing” is a lovely piece that conjures up the lost child in all of us. Its timeless, environmental message is perfect for today’s world where connection to the earth is sometimes forgotten.

I am a retired registered nurse who had the privilege of working with children and parents most of my professional life. This is a wonderful story (Can You Hear the Earth Sing). It
resonates with me as this is how I listen to God. I think we all can hear with more than our ears if we learn to be still.
Mary Ellen K. -- Nurse
"Kubabi books in general are an excellent read! The writer has a gift of story-telling from a life well lived, and the tone and prose resonate with me having grown up a country kid more connected to nature, now living in the day to day hectic world of today. I love the imagery of the words and pictures and my kids and I love reading them together at bedtime!"

This story touched me because it reminds me to always connect with Mother Earth and everything that grounding myself means. It reminded me that we get so busy and forget to just stop an listen to the hum of the silence. My ten-year-old son who is a "Dandelion Child" (military kid reference) loved it and just relaxed while he was reading it.
Child's words from video: "I really liked your book, it was very amazing. ...It made me feel very joyful and happy. (Question "Why?" "...the overall aesthetic...mysterious in a way, but a happy mysterious."
Sarah -- active-duty military
Part poetry, part story and part life lesson. I loved reading this. It was meditative and thoughtfully written. It was beautiful and gentle. The only part I didn't like was when it was over. A truly sweet story that I wish was around when my children were little. Well done Maryna. Very well done.

I loved "Can You Hear the Earth Sing.". Maryna Ozuna has beautifully -- in her language, design, and illustrations -- conveyed what it is to be still; with senses quietly open to the beauty, grandeur and immediacy of nature and how nature can resonate in us. Through her use of a guide, Don Pancho, the author gently shows the way to the heart of the world. Kind of a complex concept for a youngster, rendered simply, clearly, with grace and with love. Every child (and adult) needs to know Don Pancho.

Maryna paints pictures with words. Don Pancho's conversation with the little girl celebrates the magic, wonder, and beauty that comes with being still and experiencing nature. It reminds me of when I was a little girl taking long walks in the woods with my big sister, who was ever so patiently showing me the many beautiful mysteries that are outdoors. A must for any little (and big!) person thirsty for a meaningful relationship with the natural world.

This wonderful short story, a perfect pre-nap read for all ages, brings to light the importance of listening to the great Mother Earth. Written from a child's perspective, this story will help teach young children the significance of learning the minute, yet lush and fragile ways of the earth, while also reminding those who read the story to take a deep breath and listen to the way the earth sings. The lyrical short story is written to be read aloud -- the natural fluctuations of tone while reading mimic the waves of the earth's sounds. A wonderful breath of fresh air written by a woman whose mission it is to connect everyone with nature. Maryna helps capture the soul through writing, photographing, teaching, and more. This is a wonderfully captivating story.
